We believe terms should actually be understandable.
You’ll find a plain-language explanation at the beginning of each section, followed by the complete Terms of Use. The plain-language explanations are provided to make the terms easier to understand; the full Terms of Use govern your purchase and use of Teacher Trap products.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are entered into between you (“you” or “User”) and Katherine (Kady) Dupre, doing business as Teacher Trap (“Teacher Trap,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
These Terms apply to Teacher Trap products and materials, including paid and free digital resources, online programs and courses, videos, lessons, downloads, printables, templates, PDFs, graphics, audio recordings, slides, training materials, written content, and other educational materials (collectively, “Content”).
By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using Teacher Trap Content, you agree to these Terms of Use.
Your Teacher Trap resources are yours to use with your students year after year. Print what you need for your classroom, use the materials with the students you personally teach or support, and adapt editable materials to fit your students. Unless otherwise stated, individual purchases and free downloads include a single-user license for your personal classroom use.
Unless otherwise expressly stated at the time the Content is provided, Teacher Trap grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable single-user license to use the Content for your own personal classroom use.
An individual license permits you to:
Teacher Trap Content may not be publicly posted, broadly distributed, resold, or made available in a way that allows others to access, download, copy, or redistribute the Content.
Not permitted:
Purchasing or downloading Content grants you a license to use the Content according to these Terms. It does not transfer ownership, copyright, or other intellectual property rights to you.
Free resources come with the same care and protections as purchased Teacher Trap resources. You’re welcome to download and use Teacher Trap freebies for your personal classroom use just as you would a purchased resource. Making a resource available for free doesn’t mean that it is free from copyright or Terms of Use.
Unless otherwise stated, free Teacher Trap Content is provided under the same personal classroom use license and is subject to the same applicable Terms of Use as purchased Teacher Trap Content.
Downloading or accessing Content for free does not transfer ownership, copyright, or other intellectual property rights. Free Content may not be publicly posted, broadly distributed, resold, republished, or otherwise used in ways prohibited by these Terms.
School-Wide Licenses are available for Teacher Trap resources, courses, and programs. If you’re interested in using Teacher Trap materials across your school, please contact kady@teachertrap.com for information about School-Wide Licensing for a specific resource, course, or program.
Program or Course School-Wide License: Provides teachers employed at the licensed campus during the applicable school year with individual lifetime access to the selected program or course. The license also permits campus-wide use of the program, course, and included materials for professional development during that school year.
Resource School-Wide License: Provides the licensed campus with lifetime use of the selected resource. The resource may be used by teachers on that campus in their classrooms and for campus-based professional development.
School-Wide Licenses apply only to the campus and Teacher Trap Content specified in the applicable license and are subject to any additional terms provided at the time of purchase.
A School-Wide License grants permission to use Teacher Trap Content according to the terms of that license. It does not transfer ownership or copyright or grant permission to resell, publicly distribute, republish, sublicense, or create materials for distribution from Teacher Trap Content.
Purchases made through TeacherTrap.com, including programs, courses, and downloadable resources, include access for the lifetime of the applicable program or resource unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. Your access is connected to your individual account, so login information and private access links should not be shared with others.
If a program or resource with lifetime access is ever retired, Teacher Trap will provide advance notice and guarantee at least one full year of continued access from the retirement notification date or offer a refund.
Access to online Teacher Trap Content is provided to the purchaser or other authorized user according to the terms of the applicable purchase or license. Individual accounts, usernames, passwords, login credentials, and private access links may not be transferred or shared with another individual for the purpose of providing access to Teacher Trap Content.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, “lifetime access” means access for the lifetime of the applicable program or resource, not the lifetime of the purchaser.
Teaching your own students online is absolutely okay. You may use Teacher Trap resources when teaching your students in a private or password-protected virtual setting.
Teacher Trap resources may not be used, displayed, or reproduced in videos, lessons, courses, social media content, or other content created for public or general online audiences.
An individual license permits use of Teacher Trap Content with students you personally teach or directly support through a private, restricted, or password-protected online learning environment.
Unless you receive express written permission from Teacher Trap, you may not display, reproduce, distribute, or make Teacher Trap Content available through publicly accessible videos, recorded lessons, websites, social media, online courses, or other public digital platforms in a manner that allows the Content itself to be viewed, accessed, copied, downloaded, or used by the public.
Teacher Trap materials may be adapted for your own classroom use, but may not be copied or recreated to make resources, products, trainings, or other materials for others to use.
All original Teacher Trap Content, including but not limited to original text, graphics, illustrations, layouts, printables, templates, videos, audio, lessons, presentations, training materials, and other copyrightable elements, is owned by Katherine Dupre, DBA Teacher Trap, or used under appropriate license, and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
Except for modifications expressly permitted for your own personal classroom use, and except as otherwise permitted by law or expressly authorized in writing by Teacher Trap, you may not:
Nothing in these Terms prohibits uses independently permitted by applicable law. These Terms also do not claim ownership of general teaching ideas, methods, facts, or other material not eligible for intellectual-property protection.
Teacher Trap resources may be referenced in blog posts or social media with clear attribution. Classroom-use photos may also be shared. Permission is required to use Teacher Trap materials in presentations or trainings unless that use is included in your license.
Teacher Trap Content may be used or shared in presentations or trainings only with express written permission from Katherine (Kady) Dupre or where such use is expressly permitted by an applicable school-wide or multi-user license.
Requests for permission may be sent to kady@teachertrap.com.

You may not post full Teacher Trap resources or substantial or reproducible portions of those resources publicly online.
Attribution does not grant permission to reproduce protected Content. Providing credit or a link to Teacher Trap does not, by itself, authorize copying, republishing, distributing, or creating derivative works from Teacher Trap Content.
